Assistant Professor of Manufacturing Technology
Kyle Pepin is an Instructor of Manufacturing Technology for the Advanced Manufacturing Program and also serves as an Instructor for Engineering Science. Kyle earned a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Fairfield University, and both an MBA and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Western New England University. Kyle started teaching at Housatonic Community College as an evening adjunct in 2016 teaching courses in the Engineering Science curriculum while working during the day as an engineer in industry. Kyle has over six years of engineering and manufacturing related industry experience, in which he has worked for Connecticut companies Otis Elevator, Branson Ultrasonics, and Hubbell Incorporated. In June 2017, Kyle traveled to China with Housatonic in an effort to initiate possible partnerships with colleges for potential future student and faculty exchange programs while evaluating academics.
Now as a full-time instructor in 2018, Kyle teaches Introduction to Engineering (EGR 111), SolidWorks (MFG 110), Fundamentals of Solid Modeling (CAD 140), and Metrology (MFG 120). He teaches these courses in both traditional and online hybrid settings and also teaches in the College Connections program with local high schools. His favorite hobbies and interests outside of teaching include hiking, fishing, camping, and stock car racing.
