Welcome To Student Services

Student Development & Campus Life

Welcome to the Housatonic Campus!

Much of your college education will happen outside of a classroom setting. That is why you will find a wide range of opportunities to learn, grow, explore, get involved and create new relationships while on the Housatonic Campus (HC).

As your Dean of Student Development, I am here to help you succeed in reaching your goals. My office is in the Office of the Dean of Students in Lafayette Hall #118, right next door to the Advising Center. The some primary services offered through the DOS are:

HC offers a range of programs including Manufacturing, Surgical Technology, Early Childhood Education, Graphic Arts and much more. We offer degrees ranging from Certificates to Associates Degrees utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. The Student Affairs Division is here to support and assist you with your studies and removing obstacles to your success. While you are here, make the most of the opportunities afforded to you. Meet other students. Get involved in campus life.

All students, faculty and staff have the right to a safe, peaceful, and honest educational environment. When a student’s conduct disrupts or threatens to disrupt the college community, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken to restore and protect the safety, peace, and integrity of the community. A full description of the College’s disciplinary and due process procedures can be found in the Student Handbook.

Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to consult and/or refer a student to the Dean of Students’ Office when a student is navigating a difficult situation.

Our Mission

The Office of the Dean of Students on the Housatonic Campus of Connecticut State Community College supports students from Orientation to Graduation and helps students on the path through their education journey. Our goal is to create an inclusive and safe environment for which students can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. We aim to provide support with academic advising, wellness, inclusiveness, professional development, and community building programs.
