Official Transciripts

 

Dear Students

Access to your official CT State transcript is now available! You will have the option of requesting official transcripts from the campuses you previously attended, or from CT State.

Please note: if all your coursework took place prior to fall 2023, please select the campus you previously attended for your transcript request. Coursework from fall 2023 and after will be reflected on your CT State transcript. Step by step instructions can be found at: Transcript Request – CT State

Transcript Request – CT State | Parchment Log in Screen 

Former and current students will be able to access legacy (HCC) transcripts as well as CT State transcripts through the CT State storefront. Students will have the option to request an official transcript for CT State, or for the campuses at which they have academic history.

No one is permitted to request an official transcript on behalf of a student except government and law enforcement agencies with either the student’s signed release, court order, or subpoena. · INSERT LINK: (Transcript Request – CT State) https://ctstate.edu/transcript-requests

Current and Recent Students: Students who have been issued their log in information to their MyCTState account should login, navigate to the student Self Service tile, click on request Official Transcripts and then follow the directions to complete your request.

Former Students: Students who have not used parchment or requested eTranscripts. If it has been more than 4 consecutive semesters (2 Years) since you last attended classes at Housatonic Community College an account will have to be created

with parchment in order to submit your electronic request. Please ensure that your first name, last name, date of birth, estimated year when you last attended are entered correctly so that your request can be processed in a timely manner. Requesting Official Transcripts

You may request an Official Transcript by one of the following ways: Electronically, completing the transcript request form, or by submitting a written request to the One Stop Office. Official transcripts bearing the College seal will be sent to the designated recipient. There are no charges for Official Transcripts. Please be advised, if there is a hold on your account this will prevent the release of your official transcripts. If you are a current student you may log into your MyCTState account under access your student profile to check on your hold(s)

  1. Online Transcript Request: For fastest service and if you have attended HCC or CT State within the past two years of when you last attended and have access to your MyCTState account MyCTState Student Login you may do the following steps: Transcript Request
    • Login to MyCTState account
    • Locate tile showing Student Self-Service
    • Click on Request Official Transcript
    • Continue to follow directions, once completed you will be able to choose and submit from HCC (Legacy) or CT State Community College
    • Parchment Log in Screen
  2. Transcript Request Form Transcript Request Form Fillable
    • If you are unable to retrieve your request via parchment, you may complete the transcript request form and submit it for processing.
    • Allow 7 to 10 days for processing.
  3. Written Transcript Request: Written requests should include the below information in order to avoid any delays in processing. The written request may then only be submitted either by Mail or Fax. (Bold Sentence)
    • Student ID number:
    • Student contact Phone number and Email address:
    • Student’s current First and Last Name:
    • If applicable former first or last names (List All):
    • Date of graduation or last attendance
    • Reason for Request: Employment, Military, Transfer, Other
    • Requesting CT State Transcript or Legacy Housatonic Transcript
    • Complete name and address if mailing or name and email address of the recipient:
    • Signature and Date 

    The downloaded transcript request form or your written request may be submitted to the One Stop Office for processing. Allow 7 to 10 days for processing.

Printing or Requesting Unofficial Transcripts

Unofficial transcripts are available to students through their MyCTState account or upon written request without charge. The written request may then only be submitted either by Mail or Fax. See the below requirements to request unofficial transcripts. Allow 5 working days. Please be advised unofficial transcripts cannot be sent via email.

  • Reason for Request: Employment, Military, Transfer, Other
  • Requesting CT State Transcript or Legacy Housatonic Transcript

Steps to print an unofficial transcript using MyCTState account:

  • Login to MyCTState account
  • Locate tile showing Student Self-Service
  • Click on View Unofficial Transcript
  • Select the “Transcript Level”(Select options you are looking for) and “Transcript Type” (Unofficial Web Transcript)
  • Simultaneously hold down the “CTRL” and “P” button on your keyboard to print
