High School students in grades 5 – 9, and 10-12 have the opportunity to get on board with Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) subjects. Students can find out about STEAM through workshops and hands-on experiments.

The session for students in grades 5 - 9 begins on June 20 through July 22. Some places are still available for this session.

Enrollment for the 2nd 5-week session which starts on July 25 through August 26 is now taking place. The cost is $550 per scholar with many payment plans available.

The HCC summer youth program is geared towards developing the student’s skills in reasoning, problem-solving, presentations, and test-taking. The academic programs take place in the morning.

The afternoon activities include off-site participation in organized sports with trained athletic coaches. Trips are also part of the program with students going to the Audubon Center, Pleasure Beach to explore the oil spills and hunt for creatures of the Sound, the Discovery Museum as well as engaging in arts and crafts, team challenges, scavenger hunts, building solar racers, yoga, dance, golfing, and BBQs.

All faculty members who instruct in STEAM-based courses are qualified in their course material and counselors are current college scholars.
