HCC Community Gallery Features Exhibit of Connecticut Women

Bridgeport, CT - This year’s Housatonic Community College Honors Seminar is titled “Connecticut Uncovered” taught by Professor Robert Nelson. An aspect of the Seminar is an exhibit in Beacon Hall featuring Connecticut Women who have improved life and made an impact in the state over the past hundred years. The collection is from the Connecticut Women‘s Hall of Fame. It consists of 40 portraits of educators, businesswomen, and social leaders. Each portrait is accompanied by a text describing her work and contributions.

The exhibit is on the 3rd floor Community Gallery of Beacon Hall on the HCC campus. The exhibit is free and open to the public. It is available for viewing when the college is open and will close on Friday, Nov. 6.

The Seminar is part of the two-year HCC Honors program, open to qualified students. It features rigorous, enahnced course work including the Honors Seminar, field trips, and individual research projects. More information at www.Housatonic.edu.
