Housatonic Fall Semester Registration in Last Stretch
August is a very busy month for those planning to start classes at HCC on August 31.
On Thursday, August 6, those HCC students who have been accepted are invited to take advantage of special registration activities. Lunch will be provided. Students will be guided through the registration process. They will meet advisors and other students, consult and receive a financial aid overview, and participate in a campus tour.
On August 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. information sessions on the registration process for new students will be conducted by the Admissions Department and tours of the campus will be conducted.
With classes for the fall semester filling rapidly, those who want to be part of the Housatonic student body are encouraged to register Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Online registration is available 24/7 at www.housatonic.edu, the Housatonic Community College website.
Jim Connolly, Housatonic Registrar says, “It looks to be an exciting fall semester at the college. We are registering a diverse and enthusiastic class who appear eager to begin this step toward their future. We have the programs and faculty to get them on their way. It’s going to be a terrific class.”
Orientation for the new HCC students will take place on Wednesday, August 26 and Thursday, August 27. These sessions conducted by the HCC Student Activities Office will introduce students to the many clubs, services, and activities available to HCC students. They will also have the opportunity to explore career options, and the educational path towards those goals in healthcare, criminal justice, manufacturing, the arts, social services, engineering and other in-demand occupations.
