Workforce Summit 2017
Housatonic Community College (HCC) is focused on building stronger connections between industry and education. For many years HCC has made great strides in this area. Through collaborations with the Workplace, Connecticut Department of Labor, and educators, employers and philanthropic foundations we are working closely together on a broad range of initiatives to enhance workforce development in the Southwest Connecticut Region.
Now it’s time to move to the next step...
building a stronger workforce by collectively addressing the common skills that employers need. Like other communities across the nation, the Southwest Connecticut region needs new strategies to expand career pathways and help workers — especially low-income workers in low-skilled jobs — get the training and education they need to succeed in the labor market.
Please join us at the Workforce Summit on Friday, April 21, 2017, to discuss strategies and action steps for our community. This is an opportunity for the community to identify workforce challenges and how education and training can help address them.
Free to attend and light refreshments will be offered.
Friday, April 21, 2017 beginning at 8:00AM until 12:30PM.
